AguaClara LLC has been focused on implementing its technologies in India. We are currently partnering with Indian NGO Gram Vikas to pilot an innovative technology to disinfect drinking water in two villages in the state of Odisha.
In 2015 we partnered with NGO Pradan to bring six Enclosed Stacked Rapid Sand (EStaRS) Filters in the villages of Gufu and Ronhe (in the eastern state of Jharkhand) using a lowland sanitary well as the water source. The filtered water is disinfected using a Chemical Dose Controller (CDC), which has also been installed in the villages of Jolhakarma and Durgunia, where the water does not require any filtration. These projects have led to over 2,000 residents gaining access to safe water on tap, while also providing a viable demonstration of our systems for the entire country to see.
We would love to bring our work to many more countries throughout the world. We are interested in expanding throughout South Asia, and also entering Latin America. If you would like to know more about our current projects or are interested in partnering with us, please contact us.
